Federal and state regulators have enacted network adequacy and provider data accuracy regulations to ensure plan members have convenient and timely access to physicians and hospitals. Our Client provided this aggregated and up to date data to insurance plans.
The existing data pipelines that ingested, corrected and distributed Provider data had evolved over time. Multiple technologies and processes were deployed. Over time, the maintenance of these pipelines consumed more resources. An additional Data Engineer was going to need to be hired to keep the existing pipelines operational. As it stood, there was no capacity to grow the business.
